Abstracting Physics Art
Art
and science have collided for this project. This is one of a series of
images. I was looking at how artists look see and examine the world in
terms of still life and objects.Scientists look at objects as things
too. These images abstractly represent the stuff inhabiting the universe
of quantum physics.

collapsing the wave function art piece
There are a lot of quantum physics references in this piece. I find the connections between art and physics fascinating. Artists spend a lot of time, examining, looking and seek out different perspectives and ways of seeing. Artists like physicists know that the act of observing, changes things.
Mixed media diptych on wood panels. Each piece measures 30 x30 cms or approx a foot squared. They hang approx 1/2 inch from wall and can be arranged in various ways, close together or separately.

metaphors for science objects and still life
I have been making stuff, stuff to look at, to analyse and move around. I am still exploring the notion of object, and existence in physical space. Object being a word that could mean or represent objects in physics, information data, cells, thoughts, atoms, material or symbols etc.
In painting,
the “space between” is called the negative space.Traditional still life examines these notions.
I am
intrigued by this interim space.
I am asking
what gets hidden and lost in negative space?
Is
cyberspace an inherently lonely or connecting place?
Is it vague and ambiguous?
Here are some photos I took intentionally out of focus. It's uncomfortable trying to focus. Its hard to see.
Objects need a frame and a context .
